Lyrics and MP3 Download - Wayfaring Stranger |
|
A
traditional gospel song, that describes a Christian walking the
narrow way with the Lord Jesus Christ. Suffering for faith is expected,
however the song's protagonist looks forward to a time when persecution in this world will end
and the faithful believer will be reunited with God. The song "Poor Wayfaring Stranger" is
of unknown origin, however some argue it's roots are derived from the folk songs of
pioneering Irish settlers, others say it sprang from the spirituals of former
African slaves. The melody is haunting and a real discovery. Listen to the MP3 below and judge for
yourself.
